Exploring the MacNider is kind of like exploring grandma's attic as a kid. You never know what you're going to encounter around the next corner: Warhol? Lasansky? Jasper Johns? Marionettes from Sound of Music? It's a converted mansion with lots of nooks and crannies plus loads of surprises.

Lovely museum. Met the Curator. Very nice lady. The museum is decorated for Christmas. The exhibits are beautiful. The Bil Baird puppets are there. Several that he made and operated in the movie The Sound of Music. Some short videos of the puppets Bil Biard made. Be sure to check out the sculptures there and next door by the library. This is a free museum. Lovely gift shop.
